Residents looking to safely dispose of toxic household items will have an opportunity this weekend as Los Angeles County hosts a free drive-thru collection event for household hazardous waste and electronic waste.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Brookside Park, Parking Lot “I,” located at 360 North Arroyo Boulevard in Pasadena.
The collection is open to Los Angeles County residents only, and no business waste will be accepted.
Hosted by Los Angeles County, the event is presented by Los Angeles County Public Works and Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. It is being held in cooperation with the cities of Alhambra, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, San Gabriel, San Marino, and South Pasadena.
County officials encourage residents to take advantage of the event to properly dispose of items that are too hazardous for regular trash collection.
