Pasadena to Host Family-Friendly “Egg Bowl” at Rose Bowl Stadium on April 4

The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and Rose Bowl Stadium have announced the return of the annual Egg Bowl, a free spring-themed community celebration scheduled for Saturday, April 4, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the iconic Pasadena venue.

The event will feature egg hunts for children up to 12 years old, with hunt times set for 11:00 am, 12:00 pm., and 1:00 pm. Organizers say a limited number of tickets are available for the free hunts, and each attendee must have a ticket to enter the event.

Online registration opens first for Pasadena residents on Monday, March 9, at 12:00 pm, followed by registration for non-residents on Monday, March 23, at 12:00 pm. Event officials encourage families to register every member of their group in advance.

A highlight returning this year is the popular Bunny Brunch, held inside the Terry Donahue Pavilion at the stadium. The special ticketed experience includes breakfast, a photo opportunity with the Bunny, and an exclusive VIP egg hunt on the stadium field. Doors open at 8:30 am, and the VIP egg hunt begins promptly at 10:00 am. Tickets for Bunny Brunch are limited and coordinated by the stadium.

Following the egg hunts, families can stay for a spring festival featuring free activities such as games, arts and crafts, inflatable attractions, and additional family-friendly entertainment. Food will also be available for purchase.

To make travel easier, free rides to and from the Egg Bowl will be offered on the Pasadena Transit Route 51 buses throughout the day. The route operates every 22 minutes from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, with expanded service between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm running every 11 minutes. The route connects Old Pasadena and the Memorial Park A Line Station along Fair Oaks Avenue to the Rose Bowl area.

The stadium is about a five-minute walk from the nearest Pasadena Transit bus stop. Free parking will also be available in Lot F for those driving to the event.

Organizers encourage families to plan ahead and secure tickets early, as attendance is expected to be high for this annual spring celebration.
