Pasadena residents are invited to participate in the City’s E-Waste Recycling Drive-Thru Collection Event on Saturday, August 29, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Brookside Park Lot I.

Electronic waste, or e-waste, includes discarded devices that use electricity or contain electronic components. Many of these items contain metals, chemicals and other materials that can pollute soil and groundwater when thrown in the trash.
Accepted household items may include televisions, desktop and laptop computers, printers, cell phones, chargers, tablets, gaming systems, small kitchen appliances, household batteries, and fluorescent bulbs and tubes. Residents can find details about accepted materials at CityOfPasadena.net/EWaste.
Secure document shredding will also be available. Residents should remove documents from binders and clips. Shredding is limited to three legal-size boxes or the equivalent per household.
The event is intended to help keep hazardous materials out of landfills and support a cleaner, safer environment. It is scheduled to remain open for the full duration, but service may end early if collection trucks reach capacity.
