Pending a signed order by the Pasadena Health Department, certain services might be allowed to resume starting Thursday, May 14, 2020.

      By News Desk

      The allowed services will be:

      – Curbside Dog Grooming, Boarding and Dog Walking

      • Allows dog grooming and boarding operations to resume business.
      • All services are by appointment only and (human) customers do not enter the facility.
      • Employees must physically distance while working.
      • Employees must disinfect grooming tools, boarding equipment, and commonly touched surfaces between clients or more frequently.
      • Dog walkers are advised to use their own walking equipment, and to limit in-person communication with the dog owner.

      – Car Wash

      • Allows self-service and full-service car wash operations to resume business
      • Request ventilation of vehicle before washing, and limits the number of persons that can vacuum or detail the interior at one time.
      • Provides cleaning and disinfection guidance for vacuum and cleaning equipment.

      – Curbside Retailer (revised to include all retail types)

      • Allows for all retail businesses that sell goods to resume operation.
      • Customers do not enter the business.
      • Sale occurs in advance and customer reports to a designated pick-up location curbside to the retail location or at an identified staging area.
      • Includes protocols for disinfection of surfaces and physical distancing.

      – Restaurants (revised to include sidewalk management and parking guidance)

      • Restaurants continue to operate for take-out, delivery, or drive-thru only.
      • Bars and onsite dining remains closed.

The Health Order is expected to be signed by Thursday, May 14, 2020. Once it’s signed, the Order will become effective immediately. (Update: Click to view the signed order).
