Now is the time for active adults ages 50 to 99+ to begin training and setting goals for the 2023 Pasadena Senior Games. Registration is fee-based. To register, visit pasadenaseniorcenter.org after March 20, and click on Activities and Events, then Senior Games.
The Pasadena Senior Games will take place from May 21 to July 15, with 14 competitive athletic events from archery to tennis. Previous competition experience is not required.
Akila Gibbs, executive director of the Pasadena Senior Center, said:
Active older adults know exercise and physical activity are the keys to a long and healthy life. These remarkable athletes, whether they are experienced or not, are serious competitors.
> Another way to participate in the Pasadena Senior Games is to volunteer for positions that include registering athletes, timing, scoring, or manning a water station. Volunteers of all ages may call 626-685-6755 or email sports@pasadenaseniorcenter.org.
