A ribbon cutting ceremony and resource fair for the Union Street Protected Bikeway project will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am in Centennial Square.

      By News Desk

City Departments such as Transit, Public Works, Public Health, Library, Parks and Rec, and Water and Power will be providing information on local services while exhibitors such as Day One, ActiveSGV, Huntington Health, Playhouse Village Association, Streets are for Everyone, Pasadena Athletic Association, Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network will also be on hand.

Local bike shops Around the Cycle and Trek Bikes will provide information on their offerings to interested attendees. Local, state and federal elected officials and dignitaries have been invited to speak at the event and join us in an inaugural bike ride.

The morning’s events will begin at 8:30 am, with dignitaries speaking at 9:30 am and a short inaugural bike ride on Union Street from City Hall to Playhouse Village Park and back, immediately to follow.
