Pasadena residents will gather at Pasadena City Hall on Wednesday, August 19, for a rally calling for the removal of Flock surveillance technology from the city.

A press conference is scheduled for 4:45 pm on the West Steps of City Hall, followed by the rally at 5:00 pm.
The event comes after the Pasadena Public Safety Committee meeting was canceled again. Organizers say they will move forward with plans to gather and demand that Flock surveillance technology be removed from cities.
The rally will focus on opposition to surveillance, with speakers addressing attendees and an emphasis on building stronger connections among local residents.
Scheduled speakers include Mohammad Tajsar, senior staff attorney with the ACLU; Sabrina Jimenez, a full-spectrum birthworker; Brandon Lamar, president of the Pasadena NAACP; and Jess Rivas, vice mayor of Pasadena.
Organizers are inviting community members to attend, hear from local leaders and meet their neighbors.
