Pasadena Health Department announced that residents 75 or older will be eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines starting this week.

      By News Desk

This opportunity is open for Pasadena residents only. Anyone who cannot prove Pasadena residency and provide proof of age (75 and older) will not be admitted.

Individuals age 65 and over will be invited to register for a different vaccine distribution event in the near future.

Vaccine appointments will be available on Tuesday, Jan. 19 and Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 (click to sign up) from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm at Victory Park Recreation Center (2575 Paloma Street, Pasadena CA 91107).

      By appointments only

      • All appointments will be drive-thru appointments unless the vaccine recipient does not have access to a vehicle.
      • At this time only individuals age 75 years and older are eligible to receive a vaccine.
      • As more vaccine supply becomes available, the Health Department will extend appointments to people age 65 years and older.
      • Proof of age (government-issued identification, birth certificate, etc.) and residency in the City of Pasadena (government-issued identification, utility bill, etc.) will be required at the time of your appointment to be eligible for a vaccine.
      • Friends and family members accompanying the vaccine recipient will not be eligible at this time. Individuals who present to the clinic without proof of age and residency will be turned away from the clinic.
      • Click to sign up (if you qualify) for an appointment on: January 19, 2021. (Full)
      • Click to sign up (if you qualify) for an appointment on: January 21, 2021. (Full)

The city indicated that future dates will be added when more supplies are received.

The city is telling us that residents can fill out an “interest form” based on the current tiers. Good luck.

I just received an email from Kaiser saying that though this is now the case they’re still too short on the vaccine to make this happen. I wonder if it’s the same for other medical providers.
