Pasadena health inspectors reinstated three health permits to restaurants that had been shut down on Friday night and closed two more restaurants.

      By News Desk

On Saturday, Nov. 28, health inspectors conducted site visits and re-inspections of all the original restaurant locations, including the original four that were closed down on Friday, Nov. 27.  The Health Department reinstated reinstated three health permits to restaurants that were shutdown on Friday night, kept one closed, and closed two additional restaurants. The City’s health department website did not list the names of the restaurants that were in violation of the rules.

      Common violations

      The most common violations were:

      • No face shields.
      • Dining tables not distanced.
      • Protocols not completed.

Approximately 50% of all initially inspected restaurants were found to be compliant during the initial visit, according to Lisa Derderian, Pasadena city spokesperson.

Health inspectors will continue to conduct first visits on Sunday to restaurants in Old Pasadena and other parts of the City. Teams will also be out inspecting restaurants, parks and outdoor areas for any potential violations. Police officers will get involved only as a last resort.
Pasadena’s Health Department did not release the names of the closed restaurants despite numerous attempts to contact them via email by our newsroom.

It would be nice to know which restaurants are not in compliance. Article doesn’t state.
