The Police Activities League (P.A.L.) will participate in their annual Golf Classic on July 14.
By News Desk
The goal of this charitable tournament is to raise funds for P.A.L. so that it can continue to reach the youth of our community with programs and services that make a positive impact on their lives.
The P.A.L. program has served over 3,500 students to date and is focused on providing positive after-school alternatives to middle and high school students, including field trips and programs such as computer skills, fine arts, photography, martial arts, and organized sports. Last year the P.A.L. program moved into its new home at Jefferson School. Funds are needed to help furnish the new facility and provide upgrades to the P.A.L. equipment and spaces.
P.A.L. encourages Pasadena area youth to be good citizens. Pasadena Police Officers volunteer their time mentoring kids at the P.A.L. Center. The goal is to reach youth at an early age, fostering positive attitudes towards authority figures and law enforcement, while providing a safe and stable environment after school to do homework, socialize, and participate in structured summer activities. These efforts are primarily supported through contributions raised by events like the Pasadena Police Activities League’s annual Golf Classic. Through the assistance of tax-deductible donations and/or services, P.A.L. will continue to enrich the lives of our local youth as it has since 1997.
