      The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCS) invites the public to the 12th annual Parks After Dark (PAD).

      PAD takes advantage of Pasadena’s beautiful summer evenings to provide youth and their families opportunities to experience healthy, safe recreation programming.  Activities include sports leagues and tournaments, a variety of recreation activities, movies, and swimming. 

      Parks After Dark Activities

      For all ages to enjoy and participate in, unless otherwise specified.

      Parks After Dark Kickoff Festival
      July 6
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
      Location
      Robinson Park Baseball Diamond
      1081 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
      Pasadena, CA 91103

      Free food, inflatable games, arts and crafts, a live DJ, and more! Show your team spirit during the two exhibition softball games: 

      • Pasadena Parks, Recreation, and Community Services will play the City Manager’s office. 
      • Community members will play Pasadena Police.

      Show up early to find a great viewing spot and participate in pre-movie activities, including arts & crafts and games.

      • July 20: Shazam! Fury of the Gods | La Pintoresca Park (45 E. Washington Blvd.)
      • July 21: Space Jam | Robinson Park (1081 N. Fair Oaks Ave.)
      • July 28: Super Pets | Grant Park (232 S. Michigan Ave.)
      • Aug. 4: Minions, the Rise of Gru | Washington Park (700 E. Washington Blvd.)

      Villa Parke Pool

      Pasadena, CA 91101

      Cool off, have fun, practice your swimming skills, and enjoy the pool and hangout area. Proper swim attire is required. Participants are encouraged to come dressed and ready to swim. Lifeguards on duty. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

      5 vs. 5 Indoor Soccer (Ages 25+)
      July 7 – August 4
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Join fast-paced pick up soccer games inside the Villa Parke basketball court. Each game will be 25 minutes.

      Glow Sports Festival
      July 13 and July 27
      8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

      Light up the night with fun interactive carnival-style games. Invite family, friends, and neighbors to this friendly, nontraditional setting that will delight everyone.

      5 vs. 5 Adult Basketball (Ages 18+)
      Thursdays, July 13 – August 3
      6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      Pasadena is well-known for having skilled basketball players! Register your team to compete and demonstrate your game. All levels are welcome. Teams are guaranteed one 20-minute game per week for four weeks in Robinson Park’s gym.

      Saturdays, July 15 – August 5

      7 vs. 7 soccer games are fast-paced, high-scoring, and big fun! Two games will be played simultaneously. All teams are guaranteed one game per week for five weeks.

      Groove in the name of boxing! Enjoy fitness exercises with our experienced boxing instructors while listening to a live DJ. Workout will consist of stretches, foot work, punching, and self-controlled movement. This will be a non-contact workout full of fun, fitness, and wellness.

      Boxing Clinic (Ages 8+)
      Thursday, July 20

      Calling all Teens! Have fun with us at a glow dance party with glow sticks and high-energy dance music. Make new friends and enjoy a fun night at our teen center.

      Aztec Dance Yankuititl
      Saturday, July 29

      Open for all ages, Aztec Dance is an opportunity to learn traditional Aztec dance steps, movement, and  drum rhythms. Lessons start with basic movements and then progress to choreographed dance steps. This activity is accompanied by live Aztec drumming.
