On August 15, Pasadena City Council approved new water restrictions that will limit outdoor irrigation
By News Desk
Beginning September 1, 2022, outdoor watering is limited to one day per week to further stretch critical water supplies during this unprecedented drought.
For customers who have even-numbered street addresses, watering is on Mondays only. For customers who have odd-numbered street addresses, watering is on Tuesdays only. Remember that all outdoor watering must take place before 9:00 am or after 6:00 pm.
Tips
Tips to help improve water conservation efforts:
- Monitor your home for leaks, and fix them right away.
- Adjust sprinklers to avoid overspray; water the plants, not the pavement!
- Consider removing sprinklers altogether, and retrofit to drip irrigation instead.
- Install a flow monitoring device to improve water use optimization.
- Convert water-thirsty turf to drought-tolerant and California native plants.
- Continue to hand water trees to keep them healthy.
