The City of Pasadena Primary Election is March 5, 2024.
By News Desk
On November 6, 2023, the Pasadena City Council voted unanimously to place Charter Amendments R, S, and T on the ballot of the March 5, 2024, Primary Municipal Election.
If the majority of voters approve them, Measures R, S, and T will enable the City to update outdated codes, adapt to changes, set limits, and update to alternative project delivery methods designed to expedite the public improvements and building. These measures will help ensure that resources are used effectively, ultimately saving money and benefiting the community while allocating resources to essential City services.
These measures do not apply a new tax or increase taxes or utility rates. In fact, Measure R maintains a 4% reduction in the utility transfer approved by voters in 2020. Measures R, S, and T maintain accountability provisions, such as public disclosure of all spending and annual financial audits, while updating outdated language and codes.
In-person voting has begun, with more centers opening this Saturday, March 2, 2024. Voters can cast their ballot at any vote center in Pasadena or the greater Los Angeles County, with full language services and expanded accessibility.
