Pasadena Public Library announced the elimination of overdue fines on all materials beginning July l, 2021.

Replacement costs for lost and damaged materials will still apply. Children’s juvenile and Young Adult fines have already been eliminated, and no library materials will accrue overdue fines.
Eliminating overdue fines will encourage library use by all our residents. Removing barriers to access the library’s free resources will help provide equal access to information and knowledge for all.
Pasadena Public Library now has eight library branches fully open for in-person service and one providing curbside service. Allendale, Hastings, La Pintoresca, Lamanda Park, Linda Vista, San Rafael, Santa Catalina, and Villa Parke are fully open. Visitors to the library are able to browse the collections, check out materials, reserve and use public computers, and access WiFi as well as printing and copying services. Library phone, chat, online content and virtual programming continue to be offered to the community.
