On September 20, millions of adults will join young climate strikers on the streets and demand transformative action be taken to address the climate crisis.
The youth have been leading the way and demanding bolder action to save the future, and now adults are backing them up. To accomplish this, a youth climate strike coalition has come together to collaborate on the campaign. The youth strike coalition, coordinated by Future Coalition, includes national youth-led groups such as Zero Hour, Earth Uprising, Fridays For Future USA, Sunrise, US Youth Climate Strike, and Extinction Rebellion Youth.
They’re counting on a collective power to demand immediate and decisive action by creating an intergenerational and intersectional climate justice movement.
The largest climate mobilizations in US history
September 20 is being talked about as one of the largest climate mobilizations in US history. Organizers describe it as an invitation “…to choose us. Choose the kids, choose humanity, choose the future.”
The strike will take place on the steps of Pasadena City Hall. Attendees are asked to RSVP here.
