Pasadena Humane announces a free pet adoption day at the shelter on Saturday, May 25, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Adoption fees for all animals will be waived during this event thanks to a sponsorship by the Carol, Edward, Ariana and Joseph Wong Family Foundation.
As Spring is an especially busy time of year at Pasadena Humane, shelter officials hope that the promotion gets many of their animals adopted. “It’s kitten season, so we will have a lot of adorable kittens available,” says Dia DuVernet, Pasadena Humane’s President and CEO. “There are also a lot of great adult dogs and cats who will make great pets.”
Many of the available dogs have been in foster homes for the weeks leading up to the event so that the shelter’s adoption team can gather information and help adopters find the perfect match. “Having that time in a foster home teaches us so much about a dog’s likes and dislikes, and what they know and don’t know,” adds DuVernet. “This helps us take some of the guesswork out of adopting a shelter pet.”
All dog and cat adoptions include spay or neuter, a microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. The regular adoption screening process applies to this promotion. Pet licensing fees may apply.
