Four students in Pasadena High School’s App Academy have been selected as Finalists for the National Games for Change Game Development Challenge, for their game titled “Buddy System.” Their game is in the Positive Play Theme award category. Their accomplishments will be celebrated at the G4C Student Challenge Awards Ceremony on June 13th where our students will be in the running for up to a $10,000 scholarship award.
These students developed this game over the course of this last semester, going through the industry process – from ideation, to initial prototyping, to usability research, character design, and development/testing.
The students are:
- Finneas Moser ’26 (Developer/Designer)
- Eden Bashan ’25 (Developer/Researcher)
- Alexander Soultanian ’25 (Designer)
- Warren Kwok ’25 (Project Manager)
The App Academy would also like to acknowledge Deborah Orret, the App Academy Lead Teacher, for all of her efforts.
