Pasadena Extends Red Flag Warning Till Thursday, January 23

Pasadena Fire Chief Chad Augustin has extended the Red Flag Warning and Parking Restrictions within the city effective through 6:00 pm Thursday, January 23, unless conditions change.

To facilitate fire department access and resident evacuation, parking is prohibited on designated narrow and/or winding roads in Pasadena’s urban-wildland interface areas. Vehicles parked on restricted roads will be cited and towed. A full list of streets with restricted parking is available at this link.

Now is the time to review your evacuation plans and ensure your emergency kits are fully stocked in case evacuation becomes necessary. For more information on preparing for and preventing wildfires, visit ReadyforWildfire.org.

If you haven’t already, register for the Pasadena Local Emergency Alert System (PLEAS) to receive voice, email and/or text emergency notifications. PLEAS messages are only sent in the event of imminent danger where action, such as evacuation, is required. Once you’ve registered with PLEAS, we also recommend registering with the County’s Alert LA County mass notification system.
