Newly appointed Councilmember Justin Jones reacted to the Sunday morning shooting at the 100 block of Painter Street in Pasadena.

I extend my sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of the individual who lost their life this weekend. Any incident of violence in our community is tragic.

In moments like this, it is imperative that we take care of each other. I encourage our neighbors in District 3, specifically those living in the surrounding area of this incident, to utilize trauma-informed mental health services through the Pasadena Public Health Department or a trusted community-based service provider.
