The Pasadena City Council will hold a public hearing on January 26, 2026, at 6:00 pm to discuss the current status of job vacancies within the city and the ongoing efforts to improve recruitment and retention.

      By News Desk

The hearing, which will be part of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, will provide an opportunity for the public and recognized employee organizations to present information and voice concerns.

This hearing is mandated by Assembly Bill 2561 (McKinnor, 2024), which focuses on addressing workforce challenges in California’s local governments. Pasadena residents and members of employee bargaining units are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts during the session.

The public hearing will take place in the Pasadena City Hall Council Chambers, located at 100 North Garfield Avenue, Room 5249, Pasadena, CA 91101.

For more information, residents can contact the City Clerk’s office.
