Pasadena Blessing of the Animals Services

This Sunday, Pasadena will have three services that are favored and cherished by many residents – Blessing of the Animals.

Animal lovers from Pasadena and nearby cities are invited to have their animal companions blessed at three local churches.

– Throop Church

All creatures of the earth and sky will be blessed on this day! We love and care for our companion animals every day of the year, and on this day we bless them as we in turn are blessed by their presence.

All companion animals and furry friends who are comfortable in public are invited to take part in this special annual worship service. If your companion feels better at home, bring a picture instead.

We will also light candles to remember those animals who died in the last year.

Catherine Thompson and the Throop Choir have beautiful music prepared for us.

Water bowl and treats will be available.

Pets of all descriptions are invited at the annual St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals service on the lawn at 9:00 a.m.

All pets — and their owners — are asked to arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. Photos or even a stuffed animal qualify. All pets are invited to process in the Church and then adjourn to the outdoor worship service on the quad lawn.

– Church of Truth/Center for Awakening Consciousness

Please join us in our beautiful garden as we bless our animals in a special ceremony led by the Reverends of our Center.

All are welcome to attend this free event. We simply ask that you provide a safe environment for the safety of your pet and others. Pets must be on a leash, in a carrier or contained in some other appropriate manner.

Alternatively, you may also bring a photo of your pet.
