Here’s a photo of my wife, Maggie. Lovely, isn’t she?
By Reg Green
She’s the costumer for the cheeky Pacific Opera Project of Eagle Rock, seen here making some last-minute changes for the company’s next production, a captivating one-act opera about a little boy’s nightmares. It is called “L’enfant et les Sortilèges” by Maurice Ravel.
Besides the giant teapot, the prodution features a clueless frog, a ravishing dragonfly and a fire that sings and dances. Its three-day run at Occidental College starts this coming Saturday, January 25, along with Puccini’s comic opera “Gianni Schicchi” about a dysfunctional family fighting over a rich man’s will.
It should be a lively show.
