Assemblymember Chris Holden will host his Annual Shoe Drive with key community partner, Shoes That Fit, to collect new athletic shoes for school aged children in need.

The contactless ‘give-and-go’ shoe drive will take place in front of Holden’s District Office at 600 North Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena on Saturday, December 11, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Folks are invited to drop-off athletic shoes of any size.

“The holiday season is the best time to make a difference in your community, and the gift of a new pair of shoes can make a profound impact on a child’s physical and mental health,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden. “I’m looking forward to seeing how many shoes and socks we collect this year!”

Shoes That Fit, based in Claremont California, has raised over 2.3 million pairs of new shoes to date to help school aged children and young adults build their confidence and self-esteem with their best foot forward. Over the years, thanks to participation from the community, Assemblymember Holden’s shoe drive has collected over 1,000 pairs of shoes and socks for Shoes That Fit.
