’Tis the season to get into the garden, and to protect plant roots before the summer heat sets in.

South Pasadena residents can pick up high-quality organic materials to enrich their home soil and reduce water evaporation South Pasadena residents can pick up high‑quality organic materials to enrich their soil and help reduce water evaporation at the Arroyo Seco Golf Course parking lot, 1055 Lohman Lane, on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The event is open to South Pasadena residents only. Bring a valid ID or utility bill as proof of residency.

This is a self‑serve event, so bring your own sturdy containers and a shovel. No bags or boxes will be provided. Materials are limited to two 35‑gallon containers per household.

Certified organic compost is provided by Athens Services, and mulch is provided by West Coast Arborists.
