OcTech, the renowned choral octet made up of Caltech scientists, is set to present a special benefit concert titled Phoenix, aimed at supporting the recovery efforts for those affected by the devastating fires in Altadena and Pacific Palisades.

      By News Desk

The concert will feature a rich and evocative program, including works such as John Tavener’s Funeral Ikos, Arvo Pärt’s Berliner Messe: Credo, and Edward Elgar’s Lux Aeterna—pieces known for their emotional depth and spiritual resonance. Through these works, OcTech seeks to provide solace and hope for those struggling in the aftermath of the fires.

This free concert explores the theme of rebirth, featuring music including Tavener’s Funeral Ikos, Arvo Pärt’s Berliner Messe: Credo, and Edward Elgar’s Lux Aeterna. The concert is free and requires no tickets, and donations will be accepted to support the California Community Foundation, which is distributing funding to local organizations involved in fire recovery.

While the concert is free to attend, donations will be accepted to benefit the California Community Foundation, which is coordinating funding for local organizations actively involved in fire recovery efforts. All funds raised will directly support those who have been impacted by the fires.
