Greater Pasadena Area group will honor Jeanne Register and Juanita West on September 29.

The National Women’s Political Caucus, Greater Pasadena Area celebrates 50 years of service to the cities of Pasadena, Altadena, Sierra Madre, La Cañada, and Glendale.
The Caucus will recognize this milestone on September 29th, 5:30 – 7:30 pm at a private residence in Pasadena.
Guests will be able to meet local elected officials and support women running for local office while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks in a relaxed outdoor setting. Join them for a gorgeous fall Friday with the National Women’s Political Caucus, Greater Pasadena Area! Proceeds will benefit the NWPC-GPA Political Action Committee.
The Greater Pasadena Area Caucus trains women to run for elected and appointed office under the umbrella of the National and State organization. Central to its founding in Pasadena, GPA will recognize the service of two extraordinary women: Jeanne Register will receive the Lifetime Service Award for her work founding and building towards political equity and involvement for women in Pasadena, statewide and nationally. Juanita West Tillman will be recognized as the first recipient of the Dolores Hickambottom Public Service Award.
The Greater Pasadena Area Caucus was originally founded in the 1970’s and rechartered in 2019.The National Women’s Political Caucus is a multi-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political process. NWPC recruits, trains and supports pro-choice women candidates for elected and appointed offices at all levels of government. In addition to financial donations, the Caucus offers campaign training for candidates, technical assistance and advice.
