The Pasadena International Film Festival (PIFF) returns to the Playhouse Village June 23 – 30, 2022.

      By News Desk

The ninth edition of the festival will present more than 120 films from 15 countries during its eight-day run at Pasadena’s Laemmle Playhouse 7 Theater. Q&As, Filmmakers’ panel, Passholders’ Lounge, and a Great Gatsby-themed closing night award ceremony are also planned.

Festival entries include the best in independent film features, shorts, documentaries, animation, music videos, and web series. They are presented in 27 programming blocks with categories such as “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” “A View to a Thrill,” “The Best Medicine” and “All My Pretty Ones.” Every block features a moderated Q&A with filmmakers after the screening(s).

On Wednesday, June 29th, a panel will be led by Natalia Lazarus of the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory. The festival will close with the Great Gatsby Gala & Award Ceremony on Thursday, June 30th at Der Wolf RestoBar.

Sponsored by Boston Court Pasadena, TravelStore, Old Pasadena Management District, San Antonio Winery, Liquid Death water, Del Pueblo Cerveceria, Anayas Restaurant, Der Wolf, Lyd and Mo Photography Studio, and the Pasadena Federal Credit Union.
