Pasadena City College officials decided to close all campuses on Monday, August 21. Although their Facebook had an old message informing the opening of campus (as of publication), their X account (formerly Twitter) announced the campuses closure in the early evening.
As of 7:15 pm, rain and wind are intensifying in the region. Residents are advised to remain indoors if possible.
Alhambra Unified schools will be open on Monday, August 21st. San Gabriel Unified also opted to open their schools PUSD, LAUSD and SDUSD opted to close schools out of concerns for students' safety.

Trash pick-up in Pasadena will occur as normal on Monday, August 21. Residents are urged to place mixed waste, recycling and yard waste containers up on the curb as close to 7:00 am as possible only if they won't be blocked by parked cars, otherwise place containers at least 3 feet from curb to let water flow between them and the curb to avoid containers being pushed away from residence.
