As millions receive a Flash Flood Warning in L.A. area, the warning has been extended until 7:45 pm. L.A. County areas affected are: Long Beach, Malibu, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Universal City, Downtown Los Angeles, Griffith Park, Culver City, Inglewood, Burbank, North Hollywood, Venice, Santa Monica, Van Nuys, Encino, Manhattan Beach, Alhambra, and Hermosa Beach.
As of 11:45 am, multiple locations started seeing rainfall accumulations of over 2 inches in the Los Angeles County, according to the National Weather Services.
"FEMA urges residents in Hilary’s path to complete preparation for flooding impacts associated with the storm. Although Hilary is expected to weaken to a tropical storm before it reaches Southern California, it is forecast to bring dangerous to catastrophic flooding across portions of southern California and southern Nevada."

Tropical Storm Hilary (65 mph) made landfall on Baja California peninsula at 11:00 am, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Hurricane Center Director Michael Brennan: “Rainfall flooding has been the biggest killer in tropical storms and hurricanes in the United States in the past 10 years and you don’t want to become a statistic.”
Residents are reminded to carry an emergency kit containing essentials like water, non-perishable snacks, a flashlight, blankets, and a first-aid kit in case of unexpected situations.
As parts of Death Valley National Park are already flooding, the Park will likely lose power, according to the National Park Service.
If you have to drive, never attempt to drive through flooded areas. Turn around and find an alternative route.
