San Bernardino County declares a local state of emergency.

Trash pick-up in Pasadena will occur as normal on Monday, August 21. Residents are urged to place mixed waste, recycling and yard waste containers up on the curb as close to 7:00 am as possible only if they won't be blocked by parked cars, otherwise place containers at least 3 feet from curb to let water flow between them and the curb to avoid containers being pushed away from residence.

NBC: San Diego ramped up homeless outreach in lead up to Hilary.

PUSD Interim Superintendent, Elizabeth Blanco, announced that schools will be closed on Monday, August 21.

• If you must drive, slow down and be aware of your surroundings.
• Avoid downed power lines and immediately report them by calling 9-1-1.
• Check on vulnerable neighbors.
