The Pasadena Senior Center is offering a free Health Enrichment Program aimed at helping participants maintain and improve the abilities needed for everyday movement and independence.
By Melanie Hooks
The program is designed for those who may have concerns about getting up from the floor, climbing stairs, or sitting down and standing up, or for anyone interested in learning strategies to preserve those capabilities.
Held onsite on Thursdays from July 2 to July 30, the sessions run from 9:30 to 10:45 am and are presented by USC Occupational Therapy students.
Participants will engage in practices intended to enhance overall well-being, with a focus on improving daily function through physical, cognitive, emotional, and social health. The program includes instruction and guided movement exercises to help build strength, power, and mobility, supporting both strength training and improved performance in everyday tasks.
