The national Mexican team will be coming to the Rose Bowl on May 28 to take on Wales. This will be El Tri’s last game before heading out to this summer’s 2018 FIFA World Cup.

      By Juan Salinas

After a disappointing performance in the 2014 Brazil world Cup, team Mexico is looking to pull a win against the European team Wales.  However ranked as one of the top 20 teams in England, a win will not come easy for El Tri*. Wales, currently 20th in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking features some well known names like Real Madrid’s midfielder Gareth Bale, and Arsenal’s midfielder Aaron Ramsey. This is not El Tri’s first match as against Wales, in three previous meetings Mexico has come out victorious in two of the three meetings.

The Rose Bowl stadium is no stranger to hosting team México and large crowds are expected for this match. Anyone who wishes to attend this game is encouraged to buy tickets in advance as this even may sell out. For those that can’t attend, this game will be available on Univision and FOX family of networks and Fútbol de Primera Radio Network. Below is a list of events scheduled leading to the match on Monday, May 28.

      Events

Saturday, May 26 – Men in Blazers LIVE in Los Angeles, Presented by Allstate (venue TBD)

Sunday, May 27 – Mexican National Team Open Training at the Rose Bowl

Please note: kick off time will be unveiled at a later date prior to the event.

*Mexico’s national football team nickname is El Tri (The Tri) or El Tricolor (The Tricolor).
