According to the announcement, voter turnout reached 22.38% of registered voters.
Election officials emphasized that many voters choose to return their Vote by Mail ballots on Election Day. Those ballots remain valid and undergo the same care, security, and verification processes as every other ballot cast in the election.
County officials noted that additional ballots remain to be processed during the Official Election Canvass, which continues after Election Day. Throughout the canvass period, all Vote by Mail, Conditional, and Provisional ballots received on Election Day are processed, verified, and counted.
Election officials said the additional time is necessary to ensure that every eligible vote is counted accurately.
The first post-Election Day ballot count update is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3. Additional ballot count updates will be released in accordance with the Canvass Update Schedule.
