Monterey Park voters have approved Measure NDC, a citywide ban on data centers, according to the latest election night results from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk.

As of the most recent update, the measure is leading with 86.27% of the vote. Supporters of the measure announced on election night that it had secured enough votes for passage, though final certification will follow after the county completes its official canvass.
“This was people power,” the Yes on Measure NDC campaign said. “We are grateful to every voter who said yes, every volunteer who gave their time, and every neighbor who helped make sure our community understood what was at stake. Monterey Park has now become a leader in the San Gabriel Valley in standing up for community health and local control.”
Measure NDC amends the Monterey Park General Plan to prohibit data center facilities throughout the city. The prohibition can only be changed by a future vote of the public.
Election results remain unofficial until certified by county election officials following the standard canvassing process.
