The City of Monterey Park has announced a Special City Council Meeting to consider a proposed ordinance that would prohibit all data centers within city limits.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 20, at 7:00 pm and will take place in the Council Chambers at City Hall. It will be open to the public, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate under standard procedures for public hearings and comment.
City officials are encouraging community members to attend and stay informed on the issue. Publicly available documents related to the city’s data center regulations can be accessed through the City of Monterey Park’s official website.
As previously reported, the proposed ordinance is separate from the upcoming June 2 public ballot measure. Residents seeking additional information can also review City Council meeting agendas and videos online.
