Monterey Park Residents Invited to Meet Newly Appointed Mayor Henry Lo

Monterey Park residents will have an opportunity to meet newly appointed Mayor Henry Lo during a community gathering later this month.

The city will host “Meet Up With the Mayor” on Tuesday, July 28, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Thai House, 2080 S. Atlantic Blvd.

The casual event invites residents to ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about current happenings in Monterey Park while enjoying light refreshments. The series also encourages residents to support local businesses and connect with the community through neighborhood dining and shopping.

Under Monterey Park’s city charter, the mayoral position rotates among City Council members every 9½ months. Lo was appointed mayor on June 30, 2026.
