The City of Monterey Park is inviting residents and community members to attend the 2026 State of the City Address presented by Mayor Elizabeth Yang on Tuesday, June 9.

The event will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott–Monterey Park, with doors opening at 4:30 pm and the program beginning at 5:00 pm.
During the address, Mayor Yang will provide updates on the city’s accomplishments, priorities, and future initiatives. The event will also feature the announcement of the winners of the Monterey Park Community Choice Awards.
Award categories include Favorite Restaurant, Favorite Retailer, Favorite Professional Service Provider, and Favorite Community Service Provider. Voting for the awards has already closed.
The State of the City Address is free and open to the public. Attendees will have access to validated parking at the hotel.
Community members who are unable to attend in person can watch the event live on the City’s YouTube channel. A recorded broadcast will also be available later on MPK-TV.
