The event is open to all Monrovia parents, families, and community members. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm with food trucks and games, followed by the film screening at 6:00 pm. Games and the movie are free of charge. Food trucks will be available for those who wish to purchase dinner, with food offered at individual cost.
District leaders are encouraging all Monrovia families to mark their calendars and attend the event, which underscores the district’s strong focus on mathematics education.
“Math is the future in our ever-changing world,” district officials shared in a statement, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring every student can be successful in math. Across elementary, middle, and high school campuses, teachers are personalizing instruction to help all students build confidence and skills in the subject.
The district has also highlighted its ongoing efforts through a series of informational videos, including features on student-centered learning at the high school level, elementary school math progress updates, and adaptations in middle school math education.
Families planning to attend are asked to RSVP using this link or the event’s QR code below to assist with planning efforts.
The district hopes the evening will bring the community together for an engaging and meaningful conversation about the importance of math education for Monrovia students.
