Summer has arrived, and families looking for ways to keep kids engaged have a classic option: the library.

Monrovia Public Library will kick off its Summer Reading Program with a family-friendly celebration on Saturday, June 6, from 12:00 pm. to 3:00 pm. The event will take place both inside and outside the library and is designed to welcome readers of all ages.
The kickoff will feature a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, lawn games, video games, inflatables, a bubble dance party, a giant maze, and more. Organizers encourage attendees of all ages to participate.
The Summer Reading Program itself is open for sign-ups now through July 31. Participants will receive a book in both June and July when they register in person. Readers are encouraged to fill out their reading passports throughout the two-month program and return them for additional prizes.
