Residents can enjoy two community events in one evening this Saturday, Aug. 1, during the Monrovia Bike-In Movie Ride, which pairs a beginner-friendly bicycle ride with an outdoor screening of Lilo & Stitch in Library Park.

The evening begins at 6:00 pm at the water fountain in Library Park, where participants will gather for a guided bike ride through Monrovia. The ride will serve as a community audit of streets included in the city’s Bicycle Master Plan Update, giving cyclists an opportunity to provide feedback about their riding experience.
Following the ride, participants will return to Library Park for the city’s Movies in the Park screening of Lilo & Stitch, which begins at 8:00 pm Riders will have access to a reserved VIP seating section for the movie..
Attendees planning to stay for the film are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs, which can be set up before the bike ride departs.
Bike racks will be available at the Community Center and Library Park, with an overflow bicycle parking area monitored by staff if needed.
The bike ride and street audit portion of the event is funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for planning purposes, but day-of registration will also be allowed. This is a free, family-friendly event.
