The consent calendar moved through a packed slate of financial and infrastructure items. The Council approved Payroll No. 8 totaling $880,765.38, along with warrant registers from April 9 and April 16 in the amounts of $1,006,269.88 and $507,955.83, respectively. Resolution No. 2026-13, authorizing the destruction of certain departmental records, was also adopted.

Technology upgrades took up a noticeable chunk of the agenda. The Council approved two task orders with Acorn Technology Services, including $47,500 to replace eight network switches across five city locations, and $184,000 (plus a $15,000 contingency) for a storage area network infrastructure replacement project at the Police Department.

On the water side, the Council ratified $46,700 in emergency repairs to local booster pumps and Tower No. 4, handled by General Pump Company. The Fire Department also secured grant funding and purchased a $120,675.38 portable water recirculation system from Pump Pod USA.

The most significant item was a grant agreement with the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District, bringing in $460,000 for the Recreation Park Planning and Design Project.

City Manager Dylan Feik delivered a City Council Directives update, and Community Services Director Rebecca Sandoval provided a 2026 Monrovia Days update. Councilmembers wrapped up with their standard subcommittee reports.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 7:30 pm.
