Joaquin T. Siques, Pasadena Director of Transportation, has announced that Metro’s On the Move Rider’s Program will host the 9th Annual Older Adult Transportation Expo on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Pasadena Convention Center.

This year’s theme, “Go Metro: Your Ticket to the World,” invites older adults to explore the possibilities of public transit—connecting them to exciting destinations, cultural experiences, and everyday essentials. The Expo will offer a full day of engaging activities, including expert panels, hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and a comprehensive resource fair. The event is designed to empower older adults, caregivers, and transit advocates with the tools and confidence to navigate the region’s public transportation system.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. RSVPs are encouraged by May 2 via the event website, by calling 213-922-2299, or by emailing onthemove@metro.net.
To make attending easy and convenient, Pasadena Transit will provide free shuttle service between the Memorial Park A Line Station (Raymond Avenue and Holly Street) and the Pasadena Convention Center. Shuttles will run every six minutes from 8:15 am to 10:00 am. and again from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
