Residents are invited to celebrate National Night Out with the Arcadia Police Department on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on the lawn at Arcadia City Hall.

The annual event, observed by communities nationwide, is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve through an evening of community engagement and family-friendly activities.
While many nearby cities host National Night Out celebrations during the summer, Arcadia’s event may be the only one to feature a dunk tank where attendees can try to dunk a police captain or lieutenant.
The event will include opportunities to meet Arcadia police officers, learn more about public safety programs, and tour the police station. Other attractions include a photo opportunity with K-9 Kopper, a classic car show, face painting, live music, food vendors, games, and giveaways.
National Night Out is free and open to the public.
