      Celebrate National Night Out on August 6, 2024 with local police departments.

      National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live in. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

      Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas and select areas celebrate on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits, and more.

      On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, starting at 6:00 pm, the City of Monterey Park will join cities nationwide for “America’s Night Out Against Crime.” Neighborhoods throughout the City of Monterey Park are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event. This fun filled evening will feature a Bicycle Rodeo for kids, K-9/SWAT demonstration, giveaways, and free hot dogs while supplies last. Station tours will be available at 6:15 pm and 7:15 pm (limited to the first 30 attendees).

      Join Linda Vista’s first National Night Out on Bryant St., between Linda Vista and Ontario Avenues. Celebrate with neighbors and Pasadena’s city departments. Enjoy free entertainment, a magic show, live music, and more while building a stronger community. The first 100 people will obtain a number for free snow cones and/or food. Everyone is welcome.       Celebrate National Night Out with the Pasadena Police Department. Enjoy exciting activities including giveaways, community resource tables, games, and activities. The Pasadena Police Department’s Community Relations Section hosts the kickoff event every year at various parks throughout the City of Pasadena. City organization such as Pasadena Library, DWP, Pasadena federal Credit Union, Pasadena Waste Management, Public Health Dept., and Citizen’s Service Center are some of the agencies that participate at this event.

      The San Gabriel Police Department will host its 30th annual National Night Out. This family-friendly event aims to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community. Attendees can enjoy various activities including a live DJ, face painting, a petting zoo, bounce houses, and kids’ games. There will be a donut-eating contest for different age categories: 7-11, 12-17, 18-29, and 30+. Additionally, a selection of food trucks will offer delicious cuisines and desserts for purchase.

      The San Gabriel Police Department’s Bicycle Response Team will give away free bicycle helmets while supplies last to promote cycling safety. Attendees can also explore educational exhibits, witness exciting K-9 demonstrations, and take an up-close look at police, fire, and military vehicles and equipment. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for the community to meet and interact with their police officers.
