The Lineage Performing Arts Center will host two free community workshops this summer and fall designed to support individuals and families affected by the Eaton wildfire through storytelling, music, dance, and visual art.

The “After the Fire – Community Workshops” will take place from 10:00 am to noon on Aug. 15 and Sept. 22, 2026, at the Lineage Performing Arts Center, 920 E. Mountain St., Pasadena.
The workshops are intended to provide a space for survivors to share their experiences, connect with others, and foster healing after the devastating wildfire, which displaced many residents and left lasting emotional impacts. Organizers say the sessions will emphasize collective resilience through creative expression, using storytelling, rhythm, movement, and song to help participants process their experiences.
Led by Eaton Fire survivors and Lineage artists, the intergenerational workshops will be open to community members ages 10 and older. No prior artistic experience is required, and there is no cost to attend or need to pre-register.
Throughout the workshops, participants will collaborate on performances incorporating their personal stories, songs, and dances. A visual arts component will also be created for display in the center’s gallery.
Together with professional artists, composers, writers, and musicians—many of whom were themselves directly impacted by the Eaton Fire—these voices will become the foundation of an original multidisciplinary performance in January 2027 that honors loss, celebrates resilience, and reminds us of the extraordinary strength found in community.
Proceeds from the event will support ongoing wildfire recovery efforts while recognizing the resilience of communities impacted by the Eaton fire. The workshops are supported by a grant from the California Community Foundation.
