Grocery prices continue to rise; why not raise your own eats? Pasadena Libraries are offering a hybrid online-in person class to get you on the road to more food independence.

      By Melanie Hooks

Seed to Supper is a comprehensive beginning gardening program that provides novice, adult gardeners the tools they need to learn how to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget. Classes cover vegetable gardening fundamentals: soil preparation, garden planning, planting, maintenance, and harvest.

Classes are taught online and include hands on garden work days at the City of Hope.

Online classes: March 7, April 4, and May 2 from 10 am to 12 pm on Zoom.
Hands-on Garden Work Days: March 21, April 18, and May 16 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Garden of Hope.

Register once to attend all sessions, including the City of Hope garden work days. Sign up here to attend.
