Lawsuit Threatened Over Possible Sexual Misconduct at PCC

Revelations of an alleged sexual harassment by a food vendor for PCC is being thwarted.

The college, claims Amber Lipsey, a former editor-in-chief for the Courier, the on-campus newspaper, has been mum about sexual harassment and/or assault by Tychicus Yu, Vice President and corporate chief of I-8 Food Services. As a result, Ms. Lipsey plans to file a lawsuit against the Pasadena Area Community College District (PACCD) for their failure to release said records.

Lipsey’s previous request for records has been delayed. Yuri Perez, the interim director for Human Resources at PCC, stated that the district had informed the individuals that the records would be released but had not heard back from them.

Since 24 days, the maximum time period permitted to inform and confirm that notification had been made and acknowledged, Ms. Lipsey, fed up with “denial by delay” (her original request was made on April 9) plans to file suit with legal assistance from the Student Press Law Center unless the records aren’t relinquished by August 17.
