After more than a year of mandated closure, Laemmle Theatres is opening its newest location in Newhall.

Om Friday, April 9, the’ brand-new Laemmle Newhall Theater will open; it was completed during the pandemic. With independent movies coming to northern L.A. County, SCV residents no longer will have to make the long drive to Encino or NoHo for non-mainstream films. Tickets for a banquet of big screen films are on sale on Laemmle’s website!
All Laemmle theaters, including the Laemmle in Glendale and Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, are following epidemiologist-approved CinemaSafe protocols, including reserved seating to ensure physical distancing. The new ticketing system enables reserved seating.
For those who would like to join in the opening, a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00 am Friday, and it will be livestreamed on the Laemmle Theaters’ Facebook page.
