Kidspace Celebrates Lunar New Year

Come Celebrate Lunar New Year with Kidspace Children’s Museum on February 24 and 25.

The family-friendly festivities will honor the Year of the Dragon with music, dance, art, and storytelling.

• Watch spectacular traditional lion dog and dragon dances in the courtyard on Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, at 11:15 am.
• Imagine dragons with storyteller Barbara Wong, who will spin timeless tales of dragons in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater.
• Create a dragon with painting, drawing, and puppet-making workshops
  — on Saturday with support from the USC Pacific Asia Museum and
  — on Sunday with the Magic Pens Art and Writing Club from Field Elementary School’s Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program.

Schedule

• 10:00 am to 5:00 pm:
  Dragon Puppet Making, Imagination Workshop
• 11:15 am:
  Lion Dogs and Dragon Dances, Courtyard
• 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm:
  Dragon Painting (Saturday only), Courtyard
• 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm:
  Dragon Storytelling, Stone Hollow Amphitheater

The Lunar New Year Celebration is included with Kidspace admission.
