July 15: Dealine for Community Revolving Loan Fund

Micro LoanJust a friendly reminder that the Arroyo S.E.C.O Community Revolving Loan Fund (CRLF) is now accepting micro-loan applications for the Summer quarter.

If you have a small business or a worker’s cooperative that would benefit
from a community-supported micro-infusion of federal dollars, the CRLF
offers friendly borrowing terms through our partner the Permaculture Credit Union and professional development through the ASNTB Local Economy Incubator.

Our very own members helped capitalize this loan-fund to make more resources
available to all of us. Borrowers are assigned a loan coach to ensure successful repayment and thus improved credit rating scores! We want you to succeed! Loan requests considered range from $500 to $5,000.

      Examples of micro-loan use:

      • Equipment or supplies
      • Permits (i.e. Farmers’ Market registration or entrance costs) or licensing
      • Marketing materials or advertising costs
      • Website upgrades
      • Special events

The deadline to apply for the Spring quarter is Tuesday, July 15, 2014. To apply, complete the online application.

Determinations will be made in late Julyby the Loan Fund’s Peer Review Panel. Applicants must be present for a 30-minute roundtable with a panel of peers to discuss application and business needs. For questions, please contact project developer Sarah McGowan Dear at asecolocaleconomy@gmail.com.
